Dapalex 5 tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Dapalex 5 tablet contains :

Dapagliflozin .................................. 5mg

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors, a class of oral hypoglycaemic agents.

Dapalex 5 Tablet Uses :-

Dapalex 5 tablet is an antihyperglycemic agents, used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.

Dapalex 5 tablet can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.
When Dapalex 5 tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.
Dapalex 5 tablet is not indicated for use in patients with type 1 diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Dapalex 5 Tablet Dosage :-

Dapalex 5 tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Dapalex 5 tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Dapalex 5 tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor. Dapalex 5 tablet should be taken immediately before or with a meal. Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. Always try to take Dapalex 5 tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Dapalex 5 tablet without asking your doctor. How Does Dapalex 5 tablet Work :-

Dapalex 5 tablet contains Dapagliflozin.

Dapagliflozin :

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors, a class of antihyperglycemic agents.
Dapagliflozin works by blocking a protein in the kidney Which is called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2). SGLT2 is a protein Which absorbs glucose from the urine into the blood flow as it is filtered into the blood kidney.
By blocking the action of SGLT2, dapagliflozin causes the removal of excess glucose through urine, which reduces the level of glucose in the blood.

Thus Dapalex 5 tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Dapalex 5 Tablet Sideeffects :-

Like all medicines, Dapalex 5 tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.

Some common side effects like -

Genital infection,

Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nose and throat),

Urinary tract infection,

Symptoms of hypoglycaemia : ( feeling shivering or restless, sweating, feeling hungry, feeling like your heart is pounding, dizziness ),

Difficulty urinating and many other side effects can occur.

Precautions :-

Before taking Dapalex 5 tablet, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or an infection in the urinary tract or if you are taking (diuretic) pills.
Dapalex 5 tablet is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Pregnant or lactating women should also consult their doctor before taking Dapalex 5 tablet

Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking Dapalex 5 tablet as it may increase the risk of some sideeffects.

Dapalex 5 tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor for this.

Liver - As Advised by Your Doctor,
Dapalex 5 tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease, dose adjustment of Dapalex 5 tablet 10mg Tablet may be needed in such patients. Please consult your doctor for this.

Pregnancy - According to Their Doctor's Advice,
women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult their doctor before taking Dapalex 5 tablet. Women who become pregnant while using Dapalex 5 tablet should stop taking this medicine. And talk to your doctor about the best way to control your blood sugar.

Breastfeeding - As Recommended by your Doctor,

Taking Dapalex 5 tablet with other antidiabetics medicines or with insulin may cause very low blood sugar levels, such as tremor, dizziness, sweating, and changes in vision, and if these symptoms occur then drive and use machines. can affect your ability to And in such a situation do not drive or use any equipment or machine.

Alcohol - Unsafe,
It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Dapalex 5 tablet. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking Dapalex 5 tablet as it may increase the risk of certain side effects.
